Came across this beautiful organic sea side stained glass sculpture made by Louise V Durham.
“Between the sea and the river, tides rise and fall, light changes, rocks and groynes are slowly weathered.
Down by the river, in my garden hideaway, I play to my heart’s content with shiny coloured glass, cutting, grinding, fusing & polishing. I set the finished pieces into greenheart, the tough tropical hardwood that serves as sea defence along the coast. The elements have shaped the wood and in turn shape my designs. Sunlight illuminates the glass, casting colours where it falls.”
You can check out more of his artistic work here !
The organic feel to these pieces change from day to night. The way nature changes, his sculptures adapt and pick up on the beauty surrounding them. Too nice to look away!
Beautiful ! 🙂
